Our Husband's Greatest Act of Love: He Gives Us His Whole Body
What does God want of me? you wonder. He replies: "Will you marry me?" He wants you, all of you. This has been the plan from the beginning, and right now God asks you again this very question. Will you open your heart to Him and say yes? Beginning with the beginning, Genesis 1-4, I start with a theory and build a biblical theology to promote and defend Catholic Church teaching. The theory is open for discussion, and I submit all my writing to the judgment of the Church.

- Husband and father of five; cradle Catholic; 10th year as teacher and administrator at the junior high level by profession; theologian by training and desire. My beautiful five young children are aged 7 to a half year old. I have a BA in theology, philosophy, and the great books, and a MA in theology both from the Franciscan University of Steubenville. I began a Ph.D. in New Testament at Loyola University, Chicago, but I left it to enter Saint Michael's Abbey in Orange County, CA. I plan to turn this blog into a book. The spark for my main theory came from my favorite teacher and mentor in college, Scott Hahn. I lived with Scott's family for six months during the summer and first semester of my senior year. One day he mentioned a theory held by some Church Fathers. I started pondering and researching to see if it had merit. Before I knew it, I had been swept off my feet. There were days where I hardly slept as I made connection after connection. Everything I knew and understood about the Catholic faith and the bible fit together in a perfect harmony for the first time. That was 1992, and I haven't stopped pondering it. Please pray for me as I write.
